This years event will include live music, a heated chili competition, a mechanical bull, family fun picnic area and our 3rd Annual Duck Derby where we will drop 1000 ducks into the water and watch them race down the Grand River. All proceeds go to Impressions 5 Science Center Adopt A River, HOPE Scholarship Fund, and Sparrow Foundation. In the last 15 years we have donated over $250,000.

Last Years Event Info...
Chili fans devoured more than 2,000 gallons of spicy goodness during the Lansing Board of Water & Light’s 15th annual BWL Chili Cook-off today in Lansing’s Adado Riverfront Park. More than 40 Lansing-area restaurants, non-profits, businesses and amateur chefs participated in the event, whose theme was “Back in the Day” – a commemoration of the BWL’s 125th anniversary year. As always, proceeds from the cook-off go to support local non-profit organizations. This year, those organizations are: Sparrow Foundation, the HOPE Scholarship Program and Impression 5 Science Center/Adopt-A-River.
