CATA ENCOURAGES SAFE RIDES HOME ON NEW YEAR’S EVE
The Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), in cooperation with the Lansing Area Safety Council, will once again offer curb-to-curb transportation on New Year’s Eve. “CATA is committed to providing safe transportation on New Year’s Eve. The Safe Ride Home program has served the community for over 25 years and we hope people will take advantage of this service to make it safer on the roads for all,” stated CATA’s CEO/Executive Director Sandy Draggoo. CATA averages approximately 250 rides each year with the Safe Ride Home program.
Those wishing a ride home should call CATA at 394.CATA (2282) between the hours of 7p.m. and 3 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
