On June 6, 2010, enrolled participants will repel down the Boji Tower in Downton Lansing to raise money for the Team Lansing Foundation which promotes toursim in the area.

Registration is currently closed to new participants, but there is a waiting list.  To support the event, please consider making a pledge to one of the "repellers" or stop out to show your support.  This event is a great way to view the beautiful sites of Lansing from a totally different angle.  Please consider helping this cause promote a positive Lansing,  just dont get too close to the edge without your gear.

How many times have you been watching an Adam Sandler movie wondering if it would make a great musical?  Well, I have something special just for you...

Okemos High School students are putting on three more performances of The Wedding Singer.  All proceeds go to the school drama department and towards student scholarships.  So put on some legwarmers, crimp you hair and do the Hustle on down there.

This show has a PG rating, so use caution with younger children.  Show director Chad DeKatch has done a great job of organizing these children.  The talent at Okemos High School is exceptional!

Soccer Round the Clock

A Cancer Awareness Fundraiser: Soccer Round the Clock

This July 24th and 25th Team Sarcoma is once again hosting it's Soccer Round the Clock event to raise cancer awareness.  (Sarcoma cancer reaches the connective tissues including nerves, muscles, cartilage, joints, bone and blood vessels.)   The family friendly event takes place at Ella Sharp Park and Justin Mehall fields in Jackson, Michigan.  The cost per team is $250 this includes free tee shirts for up to 22 members.  Upon registration, you will be able to request certain time slots and divisions.  All ages and abilities are welcome, so recruit your family, friends and co-workers to join you.

Komen Greater Lansing Race for the Cure 5K

During some point in our lives chances are we will know someone with breast cancer.  1 in 8 women will have breast cancer in her lifetime and the time is now to make a fight for the cure.

On Sunday, April 25, 2010 the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation will host it's annual 5K event.  Participants are encouraged to sign up with friends and family and unite on the capitol lawn for a day of special events, a survivor tribute and many other family friendly activities.
