Mercury and the Madman's CD Release Party

Live, Loud, Local and awesome!  That’s pretty much how the CD release party for Mercury and the Madman was this past Friday.  Poor Boys Relief were awesome not only for giving 90% of the people at the show a reason to drink 24oz PBR’s (my drink of choice), but their show was great as well.  They are very quirky guys as you can see with the stuffed raccoon front stage (which I have decided to name Red Stripe) and they are just a good band to jam to.  Dirt Road Logic made me want to get up and dance the entire set.  They made me feel at home with a sort of southern rock feel.  I instantly felt like I was at my favorite dirty bar back in Alabama and didn’t want to stop rocking out until the sun came up.  Plus, any band that makes a sweet table with a cello to hold their beer on stage is a winner in my book.  And Mercury and the Madman rocked my socks!  The CD release party for In The AM, which I am currently listening to in my CD player.  Live show rocks, great guitar riffs, and all around just an awesome band and awesome show.  Thanks Small Planet and LifeinLansing.com for having me out!   -Alabama
